Barcelona not planning to go for Ribery and Lahm

Asked about the rumours linking Bayern full back defender and German international Philipp Lahm (25) and Bayern Munich attacker and French international Franck Ribéry (26) with a move to Barcelona (read more here), Barcelona president Joan laporta has said in an interview with German sports weekly paper Sport Bild that Barcelona wants to respect the wish of the German club:

"I finally want to put an end to all these rumours by clearly saying: no! Our good relationship with Bayern is more important than any player in the world. Ribéry is for Munich what Messi is for Barcelona. That's why I understand that Kalle (Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge) says that Ribéry is not for sale. We accept that. The same goes for Lahm. He's a very interesting player but he's also a Bayern player. As long as Bayern isn’t willing to let him go, he's not an option for us."

Respect to Laporta!

Now lets go for Aly Cissokho as a Left-Back... he really showed quality in both matches against MAN UTD

Ok, but if you're friends with every player, you can't get any player...

I hope it's just some strategy to give Barcelona some advantage when Ribéry wants to get out.

I mean "with every team".

It would be amazing if Ribery joins Barca...
But I donk think we need him...

I think, that Ali Cissokho is a good one...
my advice is that, that barca buys Maxwell or Zhirkhof (Russia) for the left

we have learned that you can force a player transfer but it will cost you, barca are always friendly with clubs that when an opportunity comes the other club will select us instead of the team that forces them.we also dont give tons of cash for players,we are looking for workers on the field and not premadonas.dani alves was an exception and i am glad he turned out that good.

Does no one find anything offensive in this statement : "Our good relationship with Bayern is more important than any player in the world" ? He should be careful about how he phrases things. I am sure it was not his intention to imply that a Club, which is defined by the players it possesses, counts its relationship with another club, which is its direct rival in competition and in gaining the signature of numerous players, as so vitally important as to overpower every other consideration.

Kamikaze has the point.
We are not asking him for free.
Ask Bayern the price,if its possible, buy him or else find another one

I just implied it as Laporta, stating he wasnt going to ruffle any feathers, not push a move which a club isnt willing to do business on. At the end of the day, Laporta will know the key to signing Ribery is to be on good terms with Bayern, let other teams force the move, let Ribery himself do it, when the sale does happen, Bayern will be on the phone asking Barca to bid because they dont want him going to a club that didnt play by ethics. Barca are not in any rush to find to a Left sided winger, Henry can still go, I hope that Ribery is the man to fill the slot, when nature decides its time to shake things up. One thing's for sure, Barca having seen his potential, will not let him go to Madrid without a fight.
