British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that Barcelona is interested in signing Manchester United forward and Argentine international Carlos Tévez (25) this summer (read more here).
Representatives of the player would already have held informal talks with Barcelona officials, with Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola wanting to strenghten his team while they are still at the top.
Tévez’ loan deal with Manchester United expires at the end of this season. The English Premier League club can buy the Argentine for a transfer fee of 36 million euro° but didn’t yet start contract talks. Barcelona would be closely monitoring the situation, while Chelsea could also be interested.
British tabloid The Daily Express meanwhile claims that Iranian businessman Kia Joorabchian, who is linked to investment fund Media Sports Investments (MSI) that owns the rights of Tévez, has been offering the player to several European top clubs, asking a transfer fee of 34 million euro°. Real Madrid and Juventus are said to be among the interested clubs. Manchester United would have a first option to buy Tévez for 23 million euro°.

For 34 million, I would rather buy Ribery.
34-36 is too much. If they don't find some billionnaire (City, Cheslea) to pay their price and they have to drop it to let's say 25, then we should enter that race, I think. If we can't get Ribéry, that is.
the Daily Mail is the least accurate of any English tabloid, who all have a long history of inaccuracy.
I wouldn't get tevez even if he is free. No talent he just run like a mad dog.
Koko=barca I see you commenting all the time on Goal.com. I have to agree with you that Tevez is just runs madly. I prefer Ivica Olic of Hamburg. He works very hard for his team and has a lot of energy but is also very smart and makes amazing runs and passes. Great shot too.
comparing tevez to ivica olic is crazy in every aspect of the game imo...Tevez is miles better overal.
Not that I want him at Barca
I want him at barcelona.
...there are surely no doubts about his skills...only about his prize...olic already signed a contract with munich for next summer...tevez has all it needs...would like him much, but think,i would prefer silva for some reasons...one,because ribery also seems unavailable...
...forgot to put my name on above...
I like Tevez but he's not worth 36 million.
he got no skill,he is a foolish player,i hate,i dont ever pray he wears the barca shirt.i support KOKO-BARCA he runs like a mad dog,and thats not our own philosophy,i dont know why KAMAKAZE want him.
I think tevez can add something the team dosnt have . Sir alex has turned him into a this mad running dog .. :( I am sure he can discover his super form again if he comes to barca...
FORCAA BARCAA
He is not a bad player. Come on guys. Mad dog, really? Have you seen him play?? I don't think he is worth that kind of money but no top team would resist him for free. He has good character, fights for everything and has skill and pace. I just don't think we need him at Barca because he would be spending most of his time on the bench. But he is not a bad player and has done very well for Man Utd. Give some credit where it is due.
