Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola has asked for Shakhtar Donetsk central defender and Ukrainian international Dmytro Chygrynskiy (22).
The Ukrainian defender's buyout clause is set at 20 million euros but Shakhtar are believed to be willing to lower their asking price to 15 million euros.
Barcelona would want to complete the signing before the end of the month when Shakhtar start their Champions League campaign for 2009/10.

he'd be a good signing
15m euros? He has no La Liga experience, that is the same price Madrid paid for Spanish international Albiol from Valencia. This is crazy. Inter got Lucio for free, why didn't we move for him? We already have Henrique and Pique who are same age as Chygrynskij.
yea seems like defenders from the smaller countries always perform the best and he is only 22 and tall. pique chygrynskiy will be a force in the near future.
heard he turned down the move, so i dont see the point
We sell Caceres and we get this guy?
Dont like the idea.
maby im wrong but didnt he already say no to barca?
i think he did but players say things one day and change their mind the other. i prefer bruno alves though but this guy could work too considering 15 million is a great deal.
I may also think it is a bit ridiculous but do we really think we have better footballing ability judgement than Guardiola?
I think this sounds pretty good! :D
Offload Cáceres on loan to a SPANISH team so he can get some more playtime and develop.
Bring Chygi then we have Henrique,MArquez,Puyol,Pique,Chygi
And milito recovering from injury and Muniesa at the Masia if wanted.
Abidal can also play as centre if needed.
6 is very good, cuz one got a injury and one has to backup Alves sometimes.
its very inspiring
