Barcelona has yesterday officially announced that Barcelona Atlètic left back defender Víctor Espasandín (24), whose current contract expired this year, has signed a renewal that will link him to the club until 2010.
Espasandín joined Barcelona B in the summer of 2007, arriving from Ponferradina.

I wonder why he received an extension as opposed to Corcoles?
I'm very surprised he renewed.
its a surprise to see a player at 24 is willing to play in the B team. maybe he is just not that ambitious. if he were, he maybe could have gone out to 2nd division clubs for free as his next step of professional football.
Barca probably pays more than any of the second division clubs, think that way
