Medical: Milito evaluates recovery

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona placer Gabriel Milito (28) will make an evaluation of his recovery during the next two weeks (read more here).

The central defender plans to intensify the training exercises in the next ten to twelve days to see how his knee is responding.

At this moment it is expected that the Argentinian will have to recover for at least another month. Milito wants to take the time he needs and doesn’t want to take risks.

Milito suffered a right knee injury on 29 April 2008 during the second game of the Champions League semi-finals against Manchester United last season. The predicted recovery time was then being estimated between six and nine months.

Nah...we better sell him...Piqué is way way better than Milito. I could believe it how Laporta spended 20 million on this little guy....

I hope he'll be back soon. Last season, he was our best defender, hopefully Pep doesn't sell him during the summer and gives him a chance to show, that he's still world class.

MM i do not agree. milito is world class.
better than marquez i think. fast, strong, good heading despite his height. and good passing skills.
6-p months, wouldn't he be fit in that case? so it's taking longer?
we can use him against bayern, pique nor marquez can cope with the speed of podolski. milito can! puyol too but he'll probably play left wing. caceres has great speed but isn't ready i suppose. though he played very well last sunday!

Great! He will be back when the season is over! What a waste. He should pay back his salary to Barcelona.

Tough situation. Will he be the same,world-class defender he was before that injury? If we decided to sell him, could we get more than 10 million from him?

Pique and Marquez can't be compared to Milito because they're different types of defenders.....

I really think we should sell him.

which idiot in this world will ever compare milito to gererd pique.please look and see weather pique can run against these timely strikers. am sure you are blinded by militos absence in this season.barca defence is in trouble without milito marqez and puyol. pique is for barca B

Hands of Pique... He is an excellent defender strong, tall excellent positioning...The only thing he lacks is speed but consider the fact that he is only 22 and he can get much better... Pique will be the new Puyol or i might risk to say even better if he loses some weight and gain some speed he will be unstoppable and moreover he is a moral boost for the team mates... So to all those RM who want to sell him start working on your cantera:P

Please don't compare Milito with Pique! I remember Pique has said in an interview that Milito was the one who has been helping him to improve a lot.

Anyway, I still think we absolutely need Milito.
