French sports paper L'Equipe claims that everything indicates that Barcelona attacker and Iceland international Eidur Gudjohnsen (30) will join French first division club AS Monaco on Monday (read more here).
Monaco would have offered the player a two-year contract worth 3 million euros a year, which would have been accepted by Gudjohnsen who doesn't want to spend another season on the bench.
Catalan sports paper Sport confirms that a deal is on the verge of being closed after both clubs met on Friday in Monaco.
Barcelona and Monaco would have reached a total agreement. Gudjohnsen would join the Monegasque club for free but Barcelona could get two million euros° in incentives depending on the performances of the player and the team in the future.
Gudjohnsen, whose contract expires next summer and who would have understood that Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola doesn't count on him for next season, would now be negotiating his salary with Monaco, that reportedly offered him 3 million euros gross a year, one million euro less than his current wages.
[Update:] Sport claims that Gudjohnsen did not train today but that he negotiated his exit in the Camp Nou offices. The club and the player would in the end have found a deal. The Icelandic would undergo tomorrow medical tests in Monaco before signing a two-year deal. Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo that Gudjohnsen will join Monaco for two seasons with an option for a third year. Barcelona's official website has meanwhile confirmed that Gudjohnsen didn't train today because of a possible transfer.

Is anyone watching the Valencia-Seville game now? What a great match-up to waste in the first week of la liga. It's a boring game since they are both rusty...can't wait for our game tomorrow..WITH NO GUDDY!! Best of luck to him
Any one got an idea as to which channel is telecasting La Liga matches this season in India!? Real Madrid match was not aired yesterday, I'm scared that I may not get to watch Barca matches on TV this year :(
Bah.
Mata scores!!!
Hey Pep,
Do we have a buy back option for Xavi Torres? He scored the second goal against atletico today...
It's a permanent transfer anony

I wasn't a fan of Gudjohnsen but at least he was a body that could be put on the field. I can't help but feel that the team is way too short this year...
We NEED backup for Henry. And Iniesta doesn't count.
Guddy seems happy to get some playing time and we can lighten our salary structure a little...Welcome aboard,Thiago and/or JDS!
@skanjos : do you know the easiest way to dl Soapcast? . I had no luck trying to dl it on Vista !!.
Now when guddy is gone we need to buy another CB;))))
you can download it here, on a german site (no virus)
http://www.chip.de/downloads/SopCast_17568283.html
just select download (think, you have to press it 2 times and then starts automatically)
site-link to matches
www.myp2p.eu (choose sports - football - your game)
there is also the option to download tvu, tvants, etc., so the choice is bigger at myp2p to choose between the channels and better streams
p.s. there's also the possibility to download every player or software needed for myp2p, directly on the myp2p-site.
on the top, of the starting-site, you can find 'software'.
it leads to every client needed for this site and his channels
(as they're .exe's, you can make sure they virus-free, by prove them with an antivirus-scanner)
do sopcasts work on macintosh also or is there anyother software for macintosh?? plzz someone reply...
macintosh?? i was joking abt u moving to europe... but looks like that's the easier option since u have macintosh :)
