Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that the transfer of Arsenal midfielder and Belarus international Alexander Hleb (27) will be announced today.
The clubs had already reached a pre-agreement last week (read more here), but there were some last details left, that were solved yesterday. It is expected that Hleb will pass the medical tests later today.
Asked about the Hleb exit rumours (read more here), Arsenal president Peter Hill-Wood said yesterday in an interview with the club's official website that there were no new developments: "No, nothing new. But it is a long-running saga."
Spanish news agency EFE claims that the Belarusian player will sign a four-year contract. Arsenal would receive a transfer fee of 15 million euro° plus 2 million euro depending on the trophies won by Barcelona in the coming years. Hleb would have a buyout clause of 90 million euro.

15 million euro =
23 million us dollar
12 million british pound
hey im on the fence about the hleb signing. im sure we cud have done better but i think every one should chill and see where this goes. lets judge him once the team settles and the games start rollin .. for all we know hleb could turn out to be the best signing of the season (or the worst) just as toure was last season.
i think guardiola will run a tight shift ...rijkaard got too soft at the end. for my taste.
either way i think we should end this transfer soap opera by signing van der vaart or thiago neves and hernanes and for God sakes lets keep our top gun eto'o nobody wants him gone between him henry and bojan and messi we have enuf goals..
