Asked about the situation of Barcelona playmaker and Brazilian international Ronaldinho (28), Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed in an interview with Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio that the club has received a bid of 32 million euro° (plus variables) from Manchester City:
"I can confirm the offer by Manchester City. The player himself has two interesting proposals, although it seems that at this moment he favours the Manchester City option. We have already talked with the player and his agent and there are just some details left before we can close the deal. We will try to reconcile the interests of the player and the club and we think we can finalize the transfer this week.
I hope that Ronaldinho will leave the club with all the honours he deserves. He has been the player who helped us return to the top and made us all happy and proud by playing a decisive role in the team winning two Spanish leagues, one Champions League and two Spanish super cups. That's something we can never forget."

Well if this is true then we got lucky!!! I cant think of any other team that would be willing to risk spending that much money on Ronnie after the past two seasons. Especially after his unprofessional behaviour over the past few weeks regarding the olympics. Thank you very much and goodbye, i hope u prosper at Man City! Now we can worry a little bit less about spending more money!

We want Citeh because of the money, he wants Milan because of the almost certain Champions League footie the following season. I'm guessing that Milan wins. They get Ronaldinho for 15 million, and a cut-rate Adebayor for 25 million.

No disrespect intended to Milan, but I never thought I'd see the day that a player (Adebayor) would/might choose to play for them, (considering they will not be participating in Champions League football next season) instead of Barcelona, who will be competiting in the event. It's not like Barcelona is exactly chopped liver.
I am sick of Milan whining and complaining about the transfer fees! Pay up or shut up! Berlusconi is a billionaire and has the money to spend. They are being cheap. Barca should not sell Ronnie to Milan. We should accept the 32 million from Man City. Barca must stand firm on the values of their players or else we will loose credibility when we go to sell other players in the future. I think Barca was stupid to announce that Eto, Ronnie and Deco were not part of our plans since it made the other teams think they can offer much lower fees. It seems that Barca should follow the example of Del Nido at Sevilla who in my opinion is the toughest and most adept negotiator.
