Samuel Eto'o, Daniel Alves and Seydou Keita started their pre-season with medical tests today. Now only the three Spanish internationals Puyol, Xavi and Iniesta are still on holiday. They will join the group in Scotland next week.
hey pep,is eto'o not going again?because i wounder why he is still training with us and not in asia to fanalise is deal?but i think it nwould be a good idea if he should stay.
I think the answer is quite simple. Eto'o's training with the club because he is still under contract with the club. And if we are to believe what he says to be true, his desire is to remain with the club and fulfill his contract. It's management and the coach that want Eto'o to leave not the other way round. That statement might sound harsh but it's the truth. Sure Pep will take Eto'o "back" if faced with no other choice. But that's a far cry from welcoming Eto'o back into the fold with open arms and a smile. Eto'o should be smart enough to know that Pep would prefer not to have him at the club.
At least he is professional. Showing up at the practice at 8 a.m. ? Gotta respect his attitude. I mean, he does have temper and all but his is also one of the most motivated players, isn't he? Each time we lost the Liga, he wasn't contributing enough because of his injury and when he came back he gave all he had to the club. So, give this guy a break and let him stay for one more season to see how it goes.

He sure is back from Asia, which wasn't a serious option I think. I'll have new posts on Eto'o later today and tomorrow.
