Villa again linked with Barcelona move

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser claimed yesterday that Valencia forward and Spanish international David Villa (27) will join Barcelona next summer.

Barcelona has intensified the negotiations on the transfer over the last weeks and would already have found a total agreement with Villa, who wants to leave Valencia but prefers to stay in Spain. There wouldn't yet be a deal between the clubs.

Valencia immediately put out an
official statement a few hours later denying a possible deal: "Valencia CF wants to announce officially that the player David Villa and the club are not involved in any deal, agreement or negotiation for the player to leave the club."

Asked about the new rumours, Villa denied a transfer to journalists after the game against Atlético Madrid: "Yes, there's a deal but it's a six-year deal with Valencia. I hope this will be the last time I have to answer this question. If people believe me, that's fine, if they don't, they can tell what they want. I'm the only one who will decide on my future, so my words should count most."

I prefer Torres over Villa, and dont think liverpool will reject a 30m+ offer. but torres probably wont want to move.

Barca missed a chance to get Torres 2 years ago. Instead of him Barca get Henry for almost same amount. That's tragic.
Villa is great, but next year he'll be 28 and it would be stupid to overpay him. BTW, why should Barca pay 50M for him and ask 30M for Eto'o?
Most realistic price is something around 30M.

Hmm? Of course Liverpoll will throw away a bid of 30m+ offer.

They bought for the exact same amount, and they are top of the english league for the first time for i dont know how long.

They are practically already in quearter finals because of the draw against Real Madrid ;)

So why would they wanna sell Torres?

No chance.

Henry can play as a supporting striker or in wider positions which torres can't play in, and if Barcelona renewed for Eto' then we should relax for the next 2 or 3 years and calmly decide which player to buy as a replacement. and after 2 years we have a better chance to sign Torres than now, as his contract will be closer to its end, and he will be thinking of a return to Spain again. and I can't see him in Madrid shirt.

i think buying aguero is the best option. Aguero and benzema.now or after the world cup.. Aguero is the most talented of all. and i see him playing as a left winger too.. I would also like pedro and gai to get their chances over there. villa is a good player but when teams like mallorca yesterday pull back with the complete team he is not powerful enough. aguero or benzema are really strong

I agree with Anony above. We should seal the Eto'o renewal and after that there is no point in getting Villa, Torres or Aguero. I like Eto'o's commitment so I don't see any point in signing an expenseive player to replace him.

Hey guys, have you ever heard of Luis Suarez for AFC Ajax. I know he's no Aguero, but he seems pretty talented and he could adapt easier as Ajax plays the same system as us, right?
He could be an ideal left winger who can fill in as striker and right winger, but then again we can't block the way for the youth (gai, jeffren).
