Asked about his favourite club, Bayern Munich forward and German international Lukas Podolski (23) has said in an interview with the official FIFA website that Barcelona is, besides Cologne, his dream club:
"Cologne and Barcelona. Cologne because I was brought up there and played for them from D youth level (under-13s) upwards.
I've followed Barcelona's fortunes ever since I got interested in football, back when Romario and Stoichkov were playing. And then you look at the fantastic players they have today. Messi, Eto'o and Henry are absolutely top notch footballers. I've played twice in their stadium and that was such an amazing experience! And then there is the whole history behind the club, the past players and their attacking brand of football. I love everything about them."

I like Podolski. He is honest and a good player. Not sure where he would fit in but I think he has a bright future. Bayern are idiots for not playing him more.
Give Schweinsteiger to Madrid and Podolski to us ;)
Naa..i think we've got it covered anyway, but if someone (etoo) should leave he could be a good replacement.
He can play on the left, i like him as a player, but i doubt he will come to barca. I think he could add the much needed depth while getting playing time on the left and being the backup striker to etoo.
i think he would not be happy in a bench role at barca, too. at madrid his competitors are toni and klose. at barca the names are eto'o, henry, bojan, messi.
he should go to club where he can play from the beginning. he's a good striker and i like him. a transfer to us should stay a dream.

barca should get him he will be good backup for eto and bayern will sell him for £9.6m
I like that price at that price barca can still buy fabregas and augero or benzema or villa.

Actually the more i think of this, the more i like it. i remember when etoo and giuly and ronaldinho first came. One of things that struck me was that etoo said he wanted to come to barca and wanted to be there. Podolski wants to come, he has a love for the club, why not find out what role he would want and then decide? if he is willing to play a role of the bench for now and challenge henry for the left wing role that will eventually become vacant why not?

He can play on the left wing! He would be a cheaper alternative to el Kun.
It will be a problem to find a "place" for him. He will need to sit on the bench, maybe as much as in Bayern and he will not like it.
The only option to find him a place is if Henry wants to finish or so.
There are many marvelous players that told Barca is their numero uno. Arshavin, Villa, Mordic and even Van der Vaart (before coming to Madrid).
The list can be long.
We simply dont have a place for all.
But those kind of anouncments make all culés in the world very proud, so i only want to say.

Keep on dreaming! You can play for Blaugrana only in your dreams. Barca have Bojan and he should get a chance, not Podolski.
Fantastic in Euro 08, would love to see him playing regulary and I dont think he would find that playing time here.
He can play on the left and do a good job of it but the players we have already can do a better job.
Still 10Million for him is a bargain
Podolski can be a gud buy for 10 mil. we can have him as a back up to henry bcoz podolski can play down the left flank and can be threatening when he has the ball in his feet.
