Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona is considering the transfer of a first class striker during next summer's transfer window.
Barcelona wants to keep on rejuvenating the forward line and with Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o going to take part in the Africa Cup in January and February of 2010, the club is looking at the options offered by the transfer market and is aware a serious investment will be needed if they want to finalize a deal.
Last summer transfer targets Valencia forward and Spanish intervational David Villa (27), Olympique Lyon forward and French international Karim Benzema (21) and Arsenal forward and Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor (24) would at this moment still be in poll position.
Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona could at the end of the season get involved in the race with several other European top clubs to sign Benzema, whose contract with Lyon expires in the summer of 2013.

David Villa is transfer listed he can go if they pay enough Valencia still need money
Kun Aguerro is the best option... He can be used as Left wing, and, if Eto'o leaves for African Cup, he can be moved to the centre..
please lets just take ade off that list! be careful what you wish for. Enuff said. But why cant Bojan fill the gap during the 3weeks African nations cup? he would have been a senior team member for 3 years 2007-2010

Criff - Raul and Ruud are both over 30... Saviola is usually lucky to be a sub... there is plenty of room for Benzema at Real...
Benzema wants to go where he will play. If the number 9 slot is open at Barca, he will be at Barca. However, buying benzema would likely block off bojan from the starting 11 for most of his career, keeping eto'o or buying villa wouldnt.
