Asked about the rumours that he's on the verge of becoming a Barcelona player (read more here), Palmeiras central defender and Brazilian international Henrique Adriano Buss (21) has said to Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio that he hopes to complete the deal in the beginning of next week:
"On Monday I arrive in Barcelona to finalize my transfer. There are only some last details left."
Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that once the 8 million euro° deal is closed, the negotiations on a loan deal will be started with the clubs who already have shown interest to have Henrique in their squad next season.
German tabloid Express confirms that Bayer Leverkusen is, together with Ajax Amsterdam and Betis Sevilla, in the running to sign the Brazilian defender on loan (read more here). Bayer Leverkusen sports director Rudi Völler hopes that the quality of the Bundesliga will be decisive in the decision of Barcelona and Henrique.

8 million euro =
13 million us dollar
6,5 million british pound
what,I cant understand, why barcelona is buying so many defenders, they have to buy pavlycchenko and no more players. And should sell some bench warmers. I hope that ronny and eto will stay because they are the hart of Fc Barcelona.
if they wana loan him then betis is the best destination when it come to adaptability, but if he need a final touch and to improve some attributes, then may be germany isnt a bad option as well, leverkusen are well known as a club that generate quality defenders.
Ajax...i smell lot of troubles to come in that team...if van basten failed to make fast good impression then there could be a big mess...so i dont know.
I really hope we'll loan him out to Betis, so that I can see him in La liga.
(Anon)if the transfer market will keep going as crazy as is is this year for future, then its the time for the teams to start preparing their own packages rather than trying to buy accomplished stars for zelions of dollars, and one of the best ways to do so(beside building youth structure) is to buy players with high potentials but yet needing a final touch.
beside,u need to take in consediration the following:payol is getting old(may be not a first team player in less than2years),milito is not much younger and not a certainty yet, marquez must be monitored regarding both stability and injury prone, so in less than two years u need an established leader for ur defense, i know that they bought caceres and pique, but if this guy has it and may turn to quality asset in 2 years, then isnt it better to buy him now rather look with sorrow to his 8287652765 millions price tag next year?
Note1:lot of barca fans critisized the board for not buying Garay, and considered real madrid move to "buy and loan" as a piece of art...hey isnt is the case now?
Note2:if he is half as good as said, and being an international Brazilian already means that he could b already better than oliguer , so the loan is not a 100%option yet.
Sorry for long comment hehe
heya pep keep up the fantastic work this site is awesome, a fewn points we havent hearn anything about henerique signing yet or hleb??? is developments still goin on?? aint even heard anything on da barca website about these players??, one centre forward im amzed we havent chased properly is drogba big powerful scores for fun and also is handy when defending corners and attacking them i reckon we should put a €22m bid in for him money better spent than on the unproven adebayor???
