Argentinian sports paper Olé claims that Boca Juniors and the player have rejected a formal 14 million euro° offer from Lazio Roma for Boca Juniors forward and Argentinian international Rodrigo Palacio (26).
Boca wants a higher transfer fee and the player, who has been linked with Barcelona over the last weeks (read more here), would have let his club know that he only will accept to leave for a Spanish club (read more here).
Although Palacio is not really pushing for a move to Europe, Boca Juniors nevertheless thinks now is the time to sell the player because of his age and the fact his salary of 650 000 euro° is weighing on the club's budget.

I think he's made it pretty clear about his apprehension of joining Barcelona. Perhaps a move to Sevilla (should they lose Fabiano and/or Kanoute) or Valencia (should they lose Villa and/or Silva) might be better options for him. He'll be able to play for a quality club without having to worry about the spotlight and media pressure on him.
