Possible deal with Moutinho

Portuguese sports paper A Bola claims that Barcelona could already have reached a secret deal with Sporting midfielder and Portuguese international João Moutinho (21).

Barcelona will now contact his Portuguese club and would be preparing a 20 million euro° bid for the player (read more here). Moutinho has a buyout clause of 25 million euro° but that clause would expire on the 15th of June.

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona will send an official to Lisbon to negotiate with Sporting officials after that date, hoping to be able to close a deal for less than the current buyout fee.

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Sporting wants to agree on a new and higher buyout fee as soon as possible.

Get Moutinho now, and get Silva!! BARCA 4EVER!!

I would love it if he would join Barca, he could really replace Deco, watched him few times, he really knows to control the ball, great passing and shooting. Also I would like to keep Etoo, Guardiola knows how to deal with him. Only Ibra can replace Etoo, and Silva can replace Ronaldinho. With all recent signins (hope Alves saga is over) I think Barca, can win it all.

It's good to enforce the midfeild and I think alot have been done in this part, what is still missing is the final piece in the catalonian jigsaw.. the central forward !!
pesonally I'd like to see David Villa in that position backed up by Guiza..

At the moment we got 3 centre forwards. Eto'o, Henry and Bojan. At the moment two of them is among the best in the world in their position and Bojan will be soon. If one striker comes one have to leave in my opinion, unless we start to play 4-4-2 but i can't see that considering the signings in the central midfield.

I hope this deal goes through as soon as possible because with Scolari rumored to be the next coach at Chelsea, they may try to get into a bidding war with us over Moutinho and I wouldn't like our odds. If Sporting were smart they would wait it out until after the Euro Championship, and then decide what to do with the man. What sense does it make for them to sell him right away to Barcelona for less than his buyout clause if (perhaps) Chelsea is willing to meet that in full? I suppose it may also be dependent on if Chelsea can somehow pry Ribery away from Bayern (which looks unlikely). If so, then perhaps Chelsea would bypass Mountinho and set their sights on Eto'o, Ibrahimovic or Villa as a replacement for Drogba.
