Scolari will take Deco with him to Chelsea

Portuguese sports paper Record claims that Portuguese national team coach and newly appointed Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari will take Barcelona midfielder and Portugal international Deco (30) with him to Chelsea (read more here).

British tabloid The Sun claims that Scolari has been given 125 million euro to spend during the summer. The Brazilian manager would start by signing Deco for 12,5 million euro° from Barcelona.

Asked by journalists about his future club, Deco didn't want to comment on the issue after his game at the European championship yesterday (read more here): "In a few days I will talk about my future, but now is not the time to do that."

12.5? wtf...

Barca fans are used to it that Barca sells players dirt cheap but 12.5 for Deco is unaccaptable. He can't be cheaper than Seydou Keita...

I guess that price is just bogus and speculation. Chelsea usually overpays for every player they sign...Scolari might want to play hard ball but anything below 20 is not acceptable in my book.

Every other team also wants 30 mio. these days for every talent. Its time for Barca to not bite on low ball offers.

Before the Euro2008 I estimated him 15 million euro. Now you would think that could have gone up a few millions. Scolari probably wants him badly so you should be able to take that up to 20.

In my opinion everyting below 15 million euro is bad business, everything over 20 million euro is good business. He's 30, so you cannot really expect him to leave for 25 or more.

Would be nice to see him in the Premier League and see what he can do there.

Just because Barca overpay for their players (Cacers, Keita, maybe Alves) doesn´t mean everyone else want to. Deco is 30, I think he don't have a very long time left on his contract so 12.5 sounds fair. He have 4 year tops left in international football.

Barcelona doesn't overpay. Several clubs wanted to pay Keita's buyout fee. We pinched 3,5 of Caceres buyout fee. Pique was a good deal. Alves will probably be somewhat overpaid but that's an exception.

12.5 is solid price, but I think barca can get 15-20 milion!Use money from Deco transfer for buying Moutinho and i will change opinion about board in a second!

I also agree that 12.5mil is a low offer for Deco. Even before the Euro's he was worth at least 15mil and with the solid performance he's putting in now for Portugal it should be closer to 20! And just because he's 30 doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to get fair value for him. If he stays focused and takes care of his body he still has 3-4 years left of quality football left in him. Anything from 15-20mil would be much more acceptable! 12.5mil is a slap in the face to both Deco and Barcelona!

Absolutely right, mates.
Deco is worthing for more than 12,5
millions euros.
The right price will be 15 millions
+ 5 millions of bonuses.
Any other amount lower than that would be a bargain.
If he reachs to self-motivate still has 3 good years of football.
