Euro 2008: Netherlands-Italy (group C)

3-0. Great display by the Dutch team (together with Portugal the most convincing performance so far), although that first goal was just off-side (I know there's an interpretation that says it was not, but it's ridiculous if it's not, Panucci did not deliberately stay behind the line) and was probably decisive.

Zambrotta started as left back defender and ended the game as right back defender. Got booked. Had a tough first half against Kuyt but did well and added a lot of depth to the team going forward. This was the Italy Zambrotta, not the Barça Zambrotta. Former Barcelona left back defender Giovanni Van Bronckhorst probably played the match of his life.

why on earth we let go Giovanni, not that "young and buiding his own ego" but GIO.
we still miss him on our left flank. Indeed abidal performance was really below than Gio's par.
He should be the official Man of the Match. He really shows the spirit of Barcelona '06. Never i seen him before like this in a barcelona shirt. The commitment and passion. One build-assist-goal and a goal that he started himself, tell us all how good he still us. This is the best game so far in the tournament. We miss you Gio!

Gio was great but that was exceptional, it's not that he played like that with us every game...
