Olympiacos offer for Caceres rejected

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona rejected last month an offer from Greek champions Olympiacos to sign Barcelona defender and Uruguay international Martín Cáceres (21).

The paper unconfirmedly reports that Olympiacos would have offered a transfer fee of 7 million euro° for the defender.

Olympiacos manager Ernesto Valverde asked for Cáceres during the winter transfer window but because Barcelona thinks the team needs all player to compete in the league, the cup and the Champions League, the Greek club's offer was not accepted.
