[2008] There's Lampard again...

that this blog is one year old, also means that we have built up an archive (also one of the reasons I started this blog), and I think looking back knowing what we know now can be nice. that's why the blog will from now on regularly (daily?) re-publish a post that was published exactly one year ago. this post was published on this blog one year ago:

British newspaper The Mail on Sunday is again linking Barcelona with Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard (29). The player’s contract expires in June 2009 and without a renewal in the coming months a new FIFA ruling would enable Barcelona to sign Lampard at the end of the current season for 6,8 million euro. The appointment of former Chelsea manager José Mourinho as the successor of Frank Rijkaard could be a crucial element.

I personally think frank lampard is the best english player at this current moment bar none. As i am a barca fan i would be delighted if frankie came to us.

surely if his contract ends June 2009, we could get him for free?

No thank you, no interest whatsoever. I don't believe he fits into our current team at all.
