Barcelona's medical staff has announced that Barcelona player Carles Puyol (30) was yesterday substituted in the second half of the game against Sporting due to an overburdening of some muscles in his left thigh.
To give the player the chance to recover, Barcelona has agreed with the Spanish football federation that Puyol won't play Wednesday's friendly game with the Spanish national team.

green light my a## .or maybe that sub was done in order to have an excuse in order for him not to play in the friendly.we will see
He isn't really injured but he felt something and they decided it was better for him to come off to prevent something from happening. Could have been a tactical move. But apparently they expect him to be fit for next weekend.
