International: Red card for Marquez

The Mexican national team lost their first game of the last North, Central America and Caribbean qualifying stage for the World Cup in 2010. The United States defeated Mexico 2-0.

Barcelona central defender Rafael Márquez was the captain of the Mexican team and got a red card in the 66th minute (1-0) for a fault on US goalkeeper Howard.

the top 3 teams qualify for the world cup, the 4th placed team enters a home-and-away playoff with the 5th placed south american team





Argentina defeated France 0-2 in a friendly game. Barcelona left back defender Eric Abidal and Barcelona attacker Thierry Henry played the whole game for France. Barcelona right wing attacker Lionel Messi scored Argentina's second goal in the 83rd minute.




Uruguay won a friendly game against Libya with 2-3. Barcelona defender Martín Cáceres played as left back for Uruguay and was replaced in the 82nd minute (2-3).

How frustrating, it seems like in all the matches it is Barca players who have to play the whole game.

Abidal didn't touch Messi once. Guess he was instructed well... ;)

Abidal didn't , but Lass Diarra from Real Madrid did. We all know his intention....><
