Asked about the rumours linking Bayern Munich wing attacker and French international Franck Ribéry (25) with several European top clubs among which Barcelona (read more here), Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has said in an interview with German television channel Premiere that a transfer is not impossible:
"Of course I prefer to keep Ribéry for many more years. And Bayern will do everything to make that happen. But at the same time the player only has a contract until 2011 and he even could move sooner.
The players are more powerfull than the clubs in modern football. Clubs cannot keep a player against his will because in the end the players always win those disputes. So if he really wants to join Real Madrid or another team, we will have to let him go."

i hope we will get him first !
Pls GOD!!!
It would be great to get Silva/Ribery + Zhirkov (+ Torres - if Sammy left us ) in summer
Go get him Txiki...
Robinho would be a better choice. He's already established in La Liga and is a world class player capable of winning important matches.
He is dangerous because he can be patient on the ball and be aggressive when he needs to be. He can draw defenders out and create space seemingly at will. I love Robinho and I think that he and Messi on the wings would be ideal for us.
Plus, I think that with the spending power of Man City and Robinho's unhappiness, we could probably get a very good deal considering that Man City are not strapped for cash and could replace Robinho with anyone at any time.
Forget about the fact that he is a partier like Ronaldinho. Robinho is still hungry. He hasn't won a lot of things plus with the right coach who can instill the right attitude in him, he could be motivated to contribute a lot to this team.
im affraid that robinho is just a spoiled kid. i would go for ribery since he has been exceptional last few seasons, is still relatively young (even though not on the picture here.hahaha) and seems much more humble. we dont need a player destroying atmosphere in the dressing room in case he wont be playing a lot or whatever.ribery isnt in the fifa ideal roster of the year for no reason..:)
Robinho is a party boy and a dressing room distraction. And lets not even go into the rape accusations. Skips training to go to brazil for a birthday party, stays late in brazil after games to drink and party, reportedly smelled of alcohol before a real madrid game. He will attempt to hog the spotlight from messi and will not accept sitting on the bench as pep has tended to do with all players from time to time. He is the last thing barca needs and he is not quite right in the head if you ask me.
Robinho is good but out squad chemistry is perfect and he could be too much of a risk in regards to that. Ribery is ideal IMO. He could play left wing or switch with Iniesta. I honestly think he is a bit underrated...
I didn't know all of that barca4life. I guess I have to side with you guys. However, imagine if Robinho could play for us at the level he played for Real Madrid the last two seasons, I can't really imagine a better player than him right now for us. However, if everyone agrees about his negative character then there is no other choice than to side with you guys.
f*ck robinho
god ribery's ugly. i heard he converted to islam for his girlfriend. now i don't have anything against anybody from any religion, but for a guy to switch whom he believes in over some bird... well i don't know if i want him associated with my barca : )
indeed, fuck Robinho.
Also, why are people even mentioning him? There's no way the club would want him because of who he is, who he played for and what he would cost. I would bet my life savings on him not coming to Barça. (I'm only 20 years old though, so my life savings are not that much)
Ribéry is a guy devoted to the club he plays for, and he'll always give his all. Plus he's extremely talented. I would be very happy with either him or Silva. I reckon Guardiola would want Silva more because he is Spanish.
Nothing to do with Ribery... but why are people continuing to bring up the name of Zhirkov??? If he was Barca-quality he would be playing with a top European club. He is a very average player and would never come close to the level of Abidal defensively or Alves (on the opposite side) offensively.
Why not look to someone who is genuinely Barca quality?
