I think he'll be the best signing after Alves. I would rate him 8.

I rated him as 8. I think he should play in the starting eleven vs. Numancia. He is a very good signing.

this was the easiest poll ive answered. knew the answer immediately:

I DONT KNOW

Frankly, I dont watch Recreativo so I saw nothing of him. And when i watched barca against them, I dont know if he played or not, I didnt notice him at all.

All ive seen is preseason, and he wasnt good. He is definetely the most confusing signing. At the moment his price seems WAAAAAY too much and I dont understand where he is suppose to play. Is he back up for the right side? The center has marquez, pique and then millito all there. Is he on the left??? If he can play left I vote we put him in immediately over that clown abidal.

I think defensively he will develop more than pique. he is raw right now but you can see his quickness and tenacity. pique is slow and awkward and thinks he can play a marquez type ball all the time whereas caceres is all about stopping his man. sure he has made a few mistakes like every defender this preseason, but I can see how talented he is and why we bought him. I give an 8. To say he wasn't good is stupid.Defensively he reminds me of a Sergio Ramos and is just as versatile.

I'd give him a 8, despite not showing the best in the pre-season.

But I was able to take a picture with him during my stay in Barcelona the last 2 weeks, so he gets a 10. :D

www.Sport1.de reprted that Thiago Neves goes to Hamburg for 7,5 Mio.
@ Pep : do you know something about this.?

i gave him a 7,clearly he has potential ,but he does many mistakes at the moment.if pep uses him next to puyol he will learn sth,he can be our sergio ramos,he is very fast ,very strong but needs exp to not rush into the attacker that easily

too much of a gamble for my taste....we paid almost 17 mio. Euros for him...

I would give him a 5 right now with potential to become a 9 depending on how he develops...at the same time it could become a total failure and end up as a 0....

its hard to say when you buy expensive talent that might pan out or might not.

For example Real signed Ezequiel Garay for 11 mio. Euros...

The jury is still out on Caceres. Although I will say that lack of experience aside he could be considered an upgrade over Milito (even if he was at full strength.) Then again I've never been that high on Milito in the first place.

Like Pique if we were judging solely on potential Caceres would receive a much higher grade. But he is unproven and untested playing at the highest level for one of the premier clubs in the world (no offense to Recre).

It would be lovely if Caceres had the ability and versatility to play the left back position to help with the inconsistent Abidal and knowing Sylvinho will only be with us for another year. But we have to judge with what facts we have in front of us not what "might" happen down the road.

Although an Alves/Caceres back tandem does sound inviting but I just don't think Caceres has the pure skills to pull it off. Such a shame. That of course would allow Pique to step in once Puyol hangs up his boots or fill in for Milito until/if he returns and sub for Marquez at the moment. It would be nice to down the road to see a lineup with Caceres and Pique as starters versus having to play one while the other one sits. But time will tell.

To make a long story short if I had to give Caceres a grade today I'd probably give him a 5.5.-6 because he talent is there but it's raw and unproven. Of course if everything goes according to form I expect that figure to increase dramatically in a couple of years time.

I agree. Plus I hope he can adapt to the right back position too cause if Alves isn't fit you get a totally different thing with Puyol (or Piqué).
