I think Henry played quite decent in the left wing position. Therefore I'm not so keen on bringing in another left winger yet. However, Henry is getting old, so I would suggest Barca to get Benzema next season with Henry in the deal to lower the price a little bit. Also, I always loved to see Fabregas back in Barca. So I would also suggest Barca to do the same, but this time put keita in the deal to lower the price. I would have preferred Barca to get Fabregas for 30-40 mil euro rather than Keita for 14 mil euro this season anyway.

By the way, now that barca got so much good defenders, wo do you think Barca should play for first team?

Raijkard is an excellent coach but he is always quite. I wish him the best. I wish he becomes a member in the Barcelona board.

Rijkaard will end up at AC Milan next year if Milan wants him... he has always wanted to go back. Ajax will make his dicision difficult, but I think he'll want to continue coaching for a while before heading somewhere for a director roll. He'll end up on the board at Ajax when he's ready to hang up his coaching boots and go back home.

I dont know why SPORT is scratching on that I thought the Ronaldihno/deco vs Eto/Laporta Campains expired...

Rijkaard is a part of Barca great history, being excellent coach or not is something, and the appreciation for his era in the club is something else and must not be questionable.

Regarding Fabregas, if ade was 40M (as arsenal claimed first)then I doubt that barca was able to get fabre for that amount, regardless of the fact if he play the same role of keita.

I really wonder if Milan would take Rijkaard who plays really un-Italian football. Think Rijkaard never heard of catenaccio.

If they take him, would be interesting to see what he can do in the Serie A.

xavi is better than fabregas, Fabregas is slow, a lot of arsenals movement was created and started by hleb and cesc got the credit.

A slow day I see. Good move on Frank's part to take the sabbatical. He needed to clear his head and reevaluate his career, coaching philosophy and approach.

The problem is he's too much of a "nice" guy. It's not necessarily bad to be labeled as a "players coach" but that tag line usually means it won't last long before you wear out your welcome. The same could probably be said of a strict "taskmaster" type of coach, (i.e. Mourinho) you notice that those guys don't last very long at one place.

"Players coaches" and "taskmasters" have limited shelf lifes even if they've achieved unanimous and unparalleled success. The "coaching carrousel" is just a way of life. As the saying goes, "You haven't truly made an impact in your profession if you haven't been fired at least once." That's just the nature of the business.

In any event I wish Frank the best wherever he may land. He is a good person and is generally respected amoung the football community as a player and during his brief stints as coach. At least no one can take away the 2 La Liga Titles and Champions League Title he helped bring to Barcelona. Like him or not that will always be part of the legacy he left at the club and he deserves a great deal of credit for that despite his final two tumultuous seasons at the club.

Who's the doofus who asked if Rijkaard ever "heard of catenaccio"? You are aware that the most succesful years of his playing carrer were carried out at AC Milan as a defensive mid, right? Of course he knows there playing style... he loves Milan and has always wanted to end up back there.
