Asked about the rumours linking Arsenal midfielder and Belarus international Alexander Hleb (27) with a summer exit to Barcelona (read more here), Arsenal president Peter Hill-Wood seemed to admit in an interview with British tabloid The Daily Telegraph that the player is unlikely to be at the club next season: "Hleb has made it clear he wants to go. I think maybe he will go."
Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona is planning to pick up the contacts with Arsenal on the transfer of the Belarussian attacker later this week.
Hleb's agent, Uli Ferber, is quoted by tthe paper as saying that Hleb would like to join Barcelona but that everything depends on the clubs: "There are more clubs interested but until now Barcelona is the only one who has made Arsenal a formal proposal. The player thinks it's a good option. Barcelona is a big club and he's proud that they want to sign him. Now everything depends on Barcelona and Arsenal being able to find an agreement."

With all respect I think that Hleb is not good option for Barca
Board could add few more millions and buy a top class midfielder that is better than Hleb
But that is just my opinion
Toure, Xavi, Iniesta, Keita. We have enough possession midfielders. We need another creative attack mid who scores goals. We need a real difference making player.
Silva is the obvious choice, but his transfer looks more unlikely by the day. I hope young Gai is ready because he may be thrown into the fire this season like Giovani last year. Let's hope Gai handles it better.
it will propably be a good idea if we play 2dmc and xavi in front free role.. so that messi should not come to back to defend and alves to.. but that way we do not have an alternative for xavi.. iniesta can't play by him self there.. so yes we will propably need one more player in the mid.. but we need to get a true attacing midfilder.. one who can score create and the opponets should look for him when he is i range for a long distand shoot!! kempe cyprus..
I would rather have Van de Vaart.
Sign the Russian, he is able to do all what Hleb can do and he scores goals too.
i don't think that barca needs another midfielder. we already have xavi, keita and iniesta and the reserve mids. what barca needs is a very strong attacker who can deliver the goals.
barca needs to work on players who are strong in the air. unlike last season, barca need to focus on training the old and new players to be excellent in the air. i also think that victor valdes needs to do a better job next season
