Barça B: Rubén Rayos (Elche - Villajoyosa)

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that the transfer of Elche midfielder Rubén Rayos (22), who played on loan with third division team Villajoyosa last season, to Barcelona B could be a done deal.

Catalan sports paper Sport confirms the interest in the player and reports that he is on top of the transfer targets list together with Zaragoza B central defender Raúl Goni (19) (read more here). Barcelona B would also be looking on the European market for a right and a left back defender.

pep...don't u think Barcelona r doing too much transfers for a reserve squad?specially that this guy for example is 22 years old...I thought Barcelona B is the level where young players get the last polish before getting promoted to the first team.
of course if Barcelona B dropped to lower divisions it will not be good for young players preparation as well, but still i think for Barcelona B u need to sign or promote young players with high potentials (buy players like daniel alvis and caceres, but of course find them in south America when they cost y together less than a million), but to buy players who will only serve in Barcelona B, thats not practical...what do u think?

Well, I don't know, I guess they have thought about it.

When you're moving a league up and when probably half of your squad, including most of your key players are leaving (because they go to another club or are promoted to the first team), I could see a reason why they would buy 4-5 new players if you think that the youngers players coming up from your youth academy aren't yet there. Apparently they have chosen to make a mix of "bought" experience and "own" youth.

hm...there is a point in the approach u suggested, i just wish if Barcelona improve the scouting system that help them to apply an "arsenal approach" policy for Barcelona B, but till then...u suggested a practical realistic approach.
