Asked about the rumours linking him with Barcelona, Chelsea and Tootenham (read more here), Zenit Saint-Petersburg forward and Russian international Andrei Arshavin (27) has told journalists in Russia that he still wants to join another club this summer:
"I've already said that this is the right moment to go. I don't know if I will end up in Barcelona or in London, but I want to leave. It's clear that at this moment the 15 million euro° offer of Barcelona isn't enough for Zenit, that is asking 30 million euro°. But from now on, I don't want to talk anymore about this issue."
Zenit manager Dick Advocaat also gave his view on the transfer rumours and said the talks with Barcelona are still on a dead point: "The only thing I can say is that it's not true that we have picked up the negotiations with Barcelona. And it's also not true that the club has lowered the asking price. In any way I think Arshavin could be an excellent player for Barcelona, certainly after the transfer of Ronaldinho."

15 million euro =

30 million euro =
47 million us dollar
24 million british pound
i would hate to see us lose the possibility of signing a highly talented, exciting, enthusiastic player like Arshavin; especially if the course we do take is towards the exact opposite sort of player in Drogba.
In my opinion I think Barca should go for Arshavin to fill the hole left by Ronaldinho. I realise some people might opt for silva because he is younger and certainly has potential but the way i see it Barca have atleast two prodigies in the makining (Jeffren and Gai) so Arshavin should hold his position for the next three seasons and I think Barca can wrap the deal for no mor than 18 million euro. what do you think?
Also the Fact that its his dream to play for Barca shouldn't be overlooked I belive his desire to defend the Blugrana colors is genuine and that motivates talented players to do there all inorder to get glory for the club and themselves
