Unsettled Trezeguet hoping for Barcelona offer

Italian sports site Sportmediaset claims that Juventus forward David Trezeguet (30) is unsettled at his club since the arrival of Brazilian striker Amauri, who could take his place next season.

Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain could launch a 20 million euro bid° soon and the new situation would make Trezeguet push for a transfer to Barcelona, with Juventus then being kind of forced to sell the player since they wouldn't want to hold on to the Frenchman against his will.

There's no way Barcelona will bid 20 million euros for Trezguet. I so, they truly have lost their mind. This is just bs Italian rumours.

This is just Trezeguet offering himself, I guess. If Guardiola looks for a strong forward, Trezeguet doesn't suit that profile. If Guardiola isn't looking for a strong forward, then Eto'o is a far better option than Trezeguet.

If we could get Trezeguet for 20 million, it's worth doing. He'd have been a lot more expensive even a year ago. He's deadly inside the box, and if he scores goals in the catennacio world of Serie A, imagine what he'd to, teamed with Henry and Messi.

What Barcelona needs is a striker who gets the ball and tries to put it in the net. Trezeguet is big and strong, with an excellent head. At 20 million, it's worth doing short-term, for when a guy we really want such as Benzema comes available. But not a Euro more than 20 million.

I don't deny that Trez may be feeling "unsettled" but that's a far cry from saying he wants to leave the club.

I personally don't like this move. I don't care if the "dollars make sense" either. You don't make a deal just because it's financially feasible - you make a deal because it's going to make you a better team.

For perhaps 5mil more I'd much rather have Drogba, hands down! He just has so much more to offer than Trez does, and he's the "ideal" man Pep's after. If not, then for ~15mil I'd sign Pavlyuchenko as a late game "situational" sub, and cross my fingers that we can get Benzema next year.

at this point i'm just resigned to keeping Eto'o. he's been playing well and seems to have a better attitude. let him come off the bench early in the 2nd half if Henry isn't doing well, but if he can show some patience he should stay.

Too old, move on to the next options. Surely we wanna build a team with some longevity.
