Barcelona interested in Inter left back Maxwell

Italian football site Calcio Mercato claims that Barcelona is interested in Inter Milan left back defender Maxwell (27).

Maxwell, whose contract with Inter expires in 2010 and who doesn't seem willing to renew now that he seems to be losing his spot to the Italian youngster Davide Santon, could leave in the summer and Barcelona would have asked for the player. Valencia and Bayern Munich would also be interested in the Brazilian left back.

Maxwell does seem like a natural made replacement for sylvinho. I'm not sure if inter will be willing to let him go though.

this is good.
his contract expires in 2010,
which means we can get him so cheap.
Maxwell or Zhirkov would be best.
i hope this is gonna happen!

He's not a bad LB but he haven't the Barça style in his feets.

video looks stunning... for a LB makin such in roads is a gr8 job to accomplish... but he loooks young then n was he in Ajax before coming to Inter??? Jersey looked like Ajax's... anyway, the LB position is th most anticipated one in the coming transfer window... i guess we would get a surprise name :)

id prefer him over lahm and zhirkov
straight sawp for sylvinho plus we'd get him cheap
inter don't need him and his contract runs out in 2010

In my opinion....there is not even ONE WORLD CLASS LB in the world comparing with RB position....if you look RB position you have some options to buy, but we are lucky to have BEST IN THE WORLD RB...

I watched a lot of games of Lahm and he is not good at defending...attackers pass him easely....

Zhirkov never played at the highest level and I think he would be good only for cover.

Maxwell is maybe an option, he at least played a lot of games in CL and Serie A...and he is not so bad....

I just can no se the perfect player for us....maybe we will be forsed to produse it in our acamedy.....If we have luck....

I am not sure if Inter are welling to sell him. But he is actually the best option we can have to compliment and rotate with Abidal on the left. He only lost his place as a starter because Davide Santon is the new big name in Italy, Santon is just amazing for his age.

Remember that Maxwell Dominated LB position for Inter pushing Grosso out to Lyon.

I liked him when he played for ajax. cruijff did to. hace to admit that I haven't seen him play while he's at inter.. Technically he was great.
lahm is to exepensive and lacks defensive qualities. zhirkov also got a lot of critisism about defending.. maybe maxwell is the best option

What about the left back from Deportivo? Can't remember his name, but judging from the games I have watched whith him, he seems interesting. Do you guys know who I mean? And is he any good?

I don't know if any of you guys watched his game at Inter he is a total crap he is worth nothing, he will deffinitly be a big flop if we are goin to sign him, and mark my words on this one.

Yeah, but come on! Soon we've been linked with every decent left back there is. First it was Lahm, then Zhirkov, then Evra, then Clichy and now Maxwell.
Why can't the papers just write that Barca is interested in almost all left backs in the "top 10" or something? We all now we need a new LB, but get back to us when you have something solid - not just BS?
