British tabloid The Sun claims that Manchester City is ready to make a 112 million euro° bid for Barcelona right wing attacker and Argentinian international Lionel Messi (21) in the summer (read more here).
Manchester City owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim would have made Messi his number one target and would have personally approved the bid for the Barcelona striker. The Arab billionaire is convinced that his financial offer will persuade Messi to leave.
Earlier this week, Al-Fahim was unconfirmedly quoted by German newsagency Dpa as saying that he would like to sign the Argentinian player: "I hope that Maradona will join us soon, together with Messi, because that's a player who makes me love Argentina again."
Asked about his future, Messi meanwhile said in an interview with Portuguese newspaper Público that he has no plans to leave Barcelona: "If it would depend on me, I will stay with Barcelona until the end of my career. The rumours about Real Madrid and others are pure fantasy. I will only leave if Barcelona wants me to and no club will convince me of the opposite."

112 million euro =
140 million us dollar
100 million british pound
Dream on City....
Lol that's a crap load of money but Barcelona will never let Messi go unless he has two off seasons and gets in a lot of arguments with coaches and club officials. And besides, who can we get to replace him? Cristiano Ronaldo??? Ya right! Lol what if we do sell him to Manchester City for 120 million euro and he flops? It's possible. Not because the Premier League is the best but because Messi would probably be the smallest guy their and if he is complaining that teams tackle needlessly here, what's gonna happen to him there?
we love you messi. you're not only a great footballer. you're also a great person!
Keep on planning City...I was also planning to laid Pam Anderson;)))).
250mill + Robinho...then maybe we can talk...only maybe!!!

Manchester City: No Heart, No Soul, No Chance of signing our Leo.
Never say never we all saw how you garbage fan's treated Ronnie after all he gave to Barcelona just classless fan's..
Ronaldinho is not Messi; please don't confuse the 2. they are vastly different men with vastly different commitments to life and the club.
Messi's response to this rumour:

@Anony
after dinho won the CL with barca in paris he lost his motivation.(plenty of money, winning all trophies, player of the year). so he started thinking "it`s time to party". his bodylanguage changed drastically on the pitch. many fans thought that dinho was just having a bad period until they noticed that dinho will never be desame again (very sad but that was the bitter truth). and pep noticed that too! same thing will happen to messi if he lost his motivation and fighting spirit. thats football my friend...every fan and manager will never let a player that is willing to die for every inch on pitch just go like that because he his not scoring or because he can no longer dribble like he does. its all about the body language my friend:-)!!!
i guess its the same Anon mesisng around. get a name, lets know who you are. call us classless. If you have a day job and you stopped getting results for your boss for the lack of trying, would you get a pat on your back or be fired? Be real mate..
i can only laugh at such stories originating from City... :) this is total comedy... and moreover, we would always welcome Dinho to Nou Camp whenever he comes here as a player of another club... tats the only way we can show our gratitude towards a player who gave so much for us.. but since he wasn't motivated to win more wit us after the Paris final, we sold him... simple...
City can go plan their bid while playing CM on their PC. Hands off the world's best players. Abramovich must be rolling in his yacht right now.
