Catalan television channel TV3 claims that Barcelona have found an agreement (through player's agent Bayram Tutumlu) with Sevilla midfielder Christian Poulsen (28). Now Barcelona will have to start negotiating with Sevilla. The current contract of the Danish international expires in 2009 and includes a buyout clause of 10 million euro. Barcelona will try to lower that sum. Poulsen would sign a contract of three seasons.
The transfer of Poulsen, who can also play as central defender, would cause Barcelona not to renew the contract of Brazilian defensive midfielder José Edmílson (31) and would also make an exit of Mexican central defender Rafael Márquez (29) more probable.
