Although Inter Milan is still clearly in pole position, British tabloid The Daily Star claims that Barcelona has entered the race to sign Arsenal midfielder and Belarusian international Aleksandr Hleb (27). Barcelona officials have told advisers of Hleb that they are interested in signing the player (read more here) and that they will make him an offer.
At this moment Barcelona does not seem ready to pay a transfer fee of 25 million euro° Arsenal would probably ask for Hleb, if the player tells the club he wants to leave. It is nevertheles suggested that the Belarusian midfielder could also threaten to buy himself out of his contract, if necessary under new FIFA regulations.

I don't think Hleb's "profile" is "pretty" enough for Barca. He doesn't play with flair, nor make you jump out of your seat. But his work rate is phenomenal! and he's the type of player that will run himself into the ground and is a true "team first" player. Ok, so some will say he's slow, or not creative enough in midfield, bla, bla, bla! But he gives you everything he's got every night and isunselfish to a fault!Personaly I would LOVE to see this signing take place! On a team of big stars and inflated egos you have to have players who do the "dirty work" and who don't require the spotlight.
if they get him great! if they dont oh well
