Valencia definitely closes door for Mata transfer

Asked about the new rumours linking Valencia left wing attacker and Spanish international Juan Mata (21) with a move to Barcelona (read more here), Valencia president Manuel Llorente told journalists yesterday that the player will stay this summer:

"I don't know anything about a possible renewed interest of Barcelona in Juan Mata.

I can anyhow tell you that no player will leave Valencia before the end of the transfer market on 31 August. Nobody has contacted us and in the case of Mata I think that it is clear that Barcelona has no chance of signing him. We have been able to keep our key players at the club this summer so that we can be competitive during the coming season."

no body can replase eto*o & ronaldinho its bigg mistake for Barça becouse they lost them!!!the best way for barca is to sell henry and to get eto back becouse barca have a great game but dont have more goals No Eto No Goals!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are talking nonsense. With Dinho and Eto'o, the two following seasons after 2005/2006 were a big disaster.

Eto'o had two serious injuries injuries during those two seasons, by the way...

I think people should give Ibra a chance before slamming him. The league havnt even begun and you are already saying it was a bad transfer. Give him atleast a couple of league games before you make your final judge. I do miss Eto´o, but I think it was time for him to try something new

Ibra will do fine, it is not right that everybody just picked on him after that game. Not only Ibra(who hasn't adapted properly yet) played bad, Xavi and Henry also weren't good in that game, in fact, nearly the whole team weren't as good as normal. This is because of the bad condition. Even the players and the coach said it after the game. Look at the game against Athletic Bilbao, he was great under those pitches! I think people should think about some factors before commenting on Ibra.

I'm glad Mata is not for sale. I'm not saying he is not good, but he won't fit Barca, he is not the explosive scoring wingers we need. Willian would be a better option. Anyway, that was a suitable pic. Mata's devastated that he can't come to Barca.

We should not have bought Keirrison for that amount of money, Hulk for 16-22mil would have been great.

Etoo had 2 serious injuries yes, but he also caused a major disruption by refusing to come on and he and ronaldinho got into a public war of words in the media. We dont need Etoo gone wild part 2.

I think Barca suffers over this season. We don't have enough players IMO. Last year we got pretty lucky regarding injuries. Most of them came right at the end. They can always bring up some people from Barca Athletic to cover positions but my guess is they'll wish they had signed another player or two...

Atm, it is more likely that Man U will play 20m plus Giggs and Scholes to sign John Terry than sell Rooney for any price.

Rooney eh? Let's be honest here, apart from running like a headless chicken, how clinical is he in front of goal. There was a time, when for two years, yes 2, Rooney had a goal drought for England? Where was Rooney in the CL final? Rooney is overhyped in my opinion! Rooney played against Barca on three occasion, can you think of anything positive from those 3 games?

first of all, fuck! valencia, I guess they like being in debt. second, our midfield is really thin, I personatly didn't care for Hleb but I think with time he would have adapted but we got rid of him, we're getting rid of guddy, I just hope that if xavi or iniesta or at worst both get injured dos santos and thiago perform like in the preseason or we're screwed especially when keita and toure are gone. finally lets just give ibra a few more tries to get into barca mode and if he can't, damn bad move, I really don't see why we did the trade etoo for ibra. maybe we could of given bojan a chance during the african cup of nations and have had keirrison at benfica for the first half of the year and have him after winter and see who it worked out. hope it's not 50 million euros down the drain.
