British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that Porto has rejected a bid made by Barcelona for Porto central defender and Portuguese international Bruno Alves (27).
The Portuguese champions would be asking a transfer fee close to 30 million euro° for their centre back (read more here).
An offer of 17 million euro made by Manchester City on the final day of last month's transfer window was also turned down by Porto. The English Premier League club would nevertheless be ready to make a renewed bid in the summer.

30 million euro =
36 million us dollar
25 million british pound
WTF!?! were not gonna pay 30 million for HIM!!! porto can go to hell!!
Not worth it. We got cover at the centreback. Puyol, Marquez and Pique ain't going anywhere I think. Milito is uncertain because of the injury. Cacares may be going out on loan and Henrique is probally coming back from germany next season. And Botia is waiting for his chance in the first squad.
So why do we need a centreback closer to the 30's than the 20's and for a whopping 30 million euro. Spend that on either on a left winger or a defender for the left.
PS. Thanks for all the updates on Barca Pep and CO. Doing a great job!
Thanks, Marcus!
no ways we are gonnna pay 30 mil euros for him.... Porto can try to sell him to City for 50 mil euros... they are rich enuf to spill cash on the ground n not bother to pick it up... so wont make much difference...
It's a tabloid people. Stop being duped all the time into believing it's true. Barcelona has never come out officially to say they want him either.
