From all the games this season, the game against Lyon was the one we can learn the most of for the future. It was an excellent lesson for me. We can get more out of it than out of the thirty previous games. Especially the first half can serve to talk very straight with the players about certain things. If they learn from it, we will compete for everything.

henry has been through injuries this season, he came to barca after not touching a ball for 5 months.
He played on the left wing.
The team wasn't playing well.
He still managed to be barca's goalscorer with 19 goals and 19 assists wich is close to 30 goals and 10 assists like in Arsenal.
This year is barca's year and Henry's year to win the champs league.

I wonder what it exactly was that Guardiola learned from that first half, and what he told the players after that half. Must've been something about how they should defend.
Yeh I wonder what he means. I always felt Lyon was a mentality thing, but then again im no tactician
Lyon was the better team in the first half, and very rarely do Barcelona play worse than their opponents.
So in that respect I think there's a lot to learn about what adjustments should be made when an opponent is as dominant as Lyon was against us in the first half. Or how to prevent it.
I know we didn't play well against Lyon, especially in the first half, but I think that based upon how difficult Lyon made it for us, we did relatively well.
The team is tired from playing three times a week and it has taken its toll on the players. Add to that the fact that we don't have any squad depth, I think that we are still doing fine.
I think that we don't have depth because you wouldn't want to bring in Pedro, Hleb, Gudjohnsen, or even Bojan (although he is still young) into the game if you are losing or even tying because these players will not make the difference. You would only bring those players into the game within the last 15 minutes or so if you are winning by two goals or more in order to give the starters some rest. So, you are essentially left with the starting eleven who have to play all the games. This is exhausting. Hence, it should be no surprise that we are experiencing a dip in form.
I'm pretty sure it was something along the lines of what we all observed, that Lyon was playing our game, and beating us at it. It should have been 2 or 3-nil at the half for them. It must have made Guardiola's halftime talk pretty easy.
He probably also talked about the game-changing value of early goals, which is the one characteristic from the salad days that is missing at present. The longer we don't score, the more confident teams get. Espanyol is an excellent example of that.
He probably also told Busquets to man up. :D His essential AWOL-ness meant that Xavi could be more easily controlled, and offensive options were limited.
Ok!! The coach agrees he has learnt. So hes hoping the boys have dont the same or would do the same. It can only get better.
And KAYR, I got your back. I said the same. People don't just like him, but I guess they are warming up to him now. Hes been good so far. And I pray to God I can say same about Hleb next year. And asper the last line, you can do without it..

I hope the team gets back to winning tomorrow. It is a crucial game, and a good chance to boost the team's moral.
We must admit that Real is in an excellent form as well. However, their defeat against Liverpool might influence them on Sunday...I hope so:)
Guardiola has been excellent so far. THE ONLY THING I DON T UNDERSTAND is why he has used Busquets as an attacking midfielder in the last 2 games (Espaniol and Lyon). Am i the only one who believes that Busquets does not fit in that position???
