Milan and Madrid not interested in Eto'o

Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona forward and Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o (27) with a move to AC Milan (read more here), AC Milan transfer adviser Ernest Bronzetti has said in an interview with Catalan radio station RAC 1 that the Italian club isn't looking to sign Eto'o: "They're not interested. Milan has other plans and they don't want to buy the player."

AC Milan sports director Ariedo Braida confirmed this in an interview with the same radio station: "There's nothing real about the stories, these are just typical transfer rumours spread by the press."

Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio meanwhile claims that Eto'o will not join Real Madrid when his contract ecxpires in 2010 in case former Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez would win the elecions in the summer. Pérez, who has also considered but in the end rejected because of financial reasons trying to sign Barcelona player Lionel Messi, thinks the Madrid fans would be against the return of the Cameroonian striker.

I propose this as the quote of the day:
"I think Barça’s best defence is their strikers who are their first line of defence.”"

-‘Sonny' Anderson ex-barca player, when asked about how to break barca's defense.

But I'll keep it and if there's a gap later this week, I'll still put it. If not, keep on trying!!! ;)
