Interest in Chelsea defender Mancienne

British tabloid News of the World claims that Barcelona is interested in Chelsea central defender and English youth international Michael Mancienne (20).

The contract of Mancienne, who also can act as right back defender, with Chelsea expires next summer.

The English defender, who played on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this season, is said to be frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities at the English Premier League club and would therefore be looking for an exit.

LOL, why? puyol can play rb to cover dani and as the above poster said puyol henrique marquez pique caceres milito. Not to mention corcoles from the b team can do a job for us at rb if we are desperate. Lahm would be able to cover the right back position for us. he would be a very good buy.

I watched this kid play with Chelsea against Watford yesterday in the FA Cup, quite impressive. He can attack and he can defend but he played right back yesterday. If he could only play left back that good, then it's gonna be a good signing, otherwise don't buy him.
