Italian sports paper La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Josep María Mesalles, the agent of Barcelona forward and Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o (27), has met with Italian club AC Milan.
Mesalles would have travelled to Milan last week where he held a series of discrete talks with Milan representatives.
Milan would be interested in the player but has other priorities at the moment and doesn't want to hurry anything. Because the Italian club cannot talk with Eto'o directly due to his contract only expiring in 2010, it would have been indirect and preliminary talks.
British tabloid The Daily Mail meanwhile claims that Manchester City is preparing a bid of 22,5 million euro° for Eto'o and would be in pole-position to sign the Cameroon striker. Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal would also all be interested in Eto'o. While Barcelona would prefer to sell to the highest bidder, Eto'o is said to have always been a fan of Arsenal's style and Liverpool.

Man. City are willing to pay 60 million for Villa and Eto'o is "only" worth 22,5?
That doesn't make much sense.
Eto'o has only one year left, ilias. So it could make sense...
