Brazilian first division club Grêmio has yesterday officially announced the transfer of former Barcelona forward Maxi López (24).
The Argentinian striker joins the Brazilian club on loan for one year. The deal includes an option to partially buy the player at the end of the loan.
Maxi López joined Barcelona in January 2005, arriving from River Plate. In the summer of 2007 and after one year on loan with Mallorca, he left for Russian club FC Moscow. With Barcelona, Maxi López won two Spanish league titles in 2005 and 2006, one Spanish super cup in 2005 and one Champions League in 2006.
