""Valdés 7.5 - Made two superb stops in the opening half from free-kicks and commanded his area to help set up Barcelona's win.

Alves 6.5 - Broke down the flanks on occasion, but given the opposition's tactics was unable to stay forward and really help Barça like he can.

Piqué 5.5 - Looked vulnerable and will be pleased that Athletic did not have more to offer up front.

Márquez 6 - Had few problems coping with Llorente, but he was clearly not on form and Guardiola opted to replace him with Puyol in the second period.

Abidal 6.5 - This was one of his best performances for a while after a difficult start to the season for the bleaguered Frenchman.

Víctor Sánchez 6 - A competent game that did not prove whether he will be a future regular or not, but certainly looks like a useful fringe player.

Touré 7 - Solid in front of the back four against a strong Athletic midfield and he did well to break up their play.

Iniesta 7.5 - Another very good showing from the midfielder as he showed skill, control and great vision to help push Barça forward.

Keita 6 - Is given what can only be described as a default mark after having to go off so early in the game after a knock to the knee.

Eto'o 7 - Did miss an absolute sitter, but took his goal with some aplomb and deserves to have his mark moved back up because of that.

Henry 5 - Really did very little and after scoring twice for France in midweek showed no sign of repeating that even once here.

Subs

Busquets 5.5 - Came on and showed some good touches, but in a game where he could not dwell on the ball the youngster did not shine.

Puyol 6 - The captain was called on to stabilise things after a few mad minutes when Barça had taken the lead.

Hleb 6 - Did not have much time to do much, but he showed on one run that he will be very useful to Guardiola in the coming weeks

puyol was in becouse marquez was injered!!!
marquez was not the man that followed liorente!!!
pique had a very good game!! for me a 6.5 easy!!!
and henry was really good (in times) also if eto'o was not so selfish (in times as well) the score would easyly have benn 2 or 3-0.. 6.5 also for henry from me..
bousquets job is not to break the opponents deffence but to break their attacs and that he did!!!
there are reportes at goal that are let me say anti barcelona!!!
if you read them in time they are very (undergound workers)....
