The worst case is the best case for us

once again financially the board has done quite well, 7 players in for 38 mil is good business in this crazy transfer market. i'm also quite happy with the players that have gone, except maybe crosas and oleguer, as the club needed a change.
what i do question is the neglect of positions needed. a genuine LW was a must as was a alternative no 9, i understand that we tried our best to get players for these positions and it just didnt happen which is a shame, but there must have been alternatives?

alves, pique, hleb, keita were good sigings as they increased the depth of the squad, again with caceres. pinto was not a good signing as he will not threaten valdes' place and so we have no competition there like in most other positions. but the CF and LW are not good enough if the 10 men behind the ball practice continues. we need more variation and that is where we failed in this transfer window, for a number of reasons, but they have done a good job of strengthening the squad. we will have to wait and see how the season pans out, and what happens in january.

does everyone realize that they didnt spend shit this summer. It was supposed to be "a new era" and all they spent was somewhere around 40 mil. Previous seasons they spent around 60-65 mil., if the team lacks depth or quality it will be because Laporta was a cheapskate. As a whole I am disappointed with the summer transfers.

we made some good acquisitions, and (no less important) some good departures. the biggest problem, i feel, is that our acquisitions were incomplete. we still have a need for a pure left winger and a quality (rather than quantity) keeper. with luck we can make up for these positions in the winter window before the need is crippling. all in all, though, we got good players. now we need to see if they can form a good system under Guardiola.

who cares about how much money we spent... we didnt bring in enough talent... we lost great players and brought in maybe one of theat caliber (alves) and the rest are subs... unbelievable
