Finally a Champions League quality team to make Pep show us what is really in store for us in the upcoming season! Forza barca !!!

Fiorentina's only chance is Mutu.I don't think Barcelona will lose this.

Come on, we have all seen from last season against mediocre teams how fragile we are against counter attacks and also defense was kinda weak..not to mention creativity in midfield..plus we get to see how henry truly performs as a CF...i am kinda excited.

I am starting to like Helb !!!!

Anonymous said...

HELB !!!!! I love him !!!!

Anonymous said...

Hleb will cut it, you can see with a few game she'll be very very useful. Gudj not doing himself many favours, I've been a fan of his attitude and wanted him to have a chance but not been impressed with him. Only been a sub, but isn't that what he'd only be if he stayed??

she'll??? HE'll be very very useful. Alves was mint.

GAME IS RE-LIVE ON TVE internacional, it started at 22:00, great quality.

what site is tve internacional?

Finally, somehow I am so happy with the squad...all needed is a new 9 and a left wing. Defense was organized finally after so many seasons!!!

Anonymous said...

Valdes to have one more season, he's still not quite there and soon we'll need another option. If Eto'o pulls his finger out, he'll be number 9, though I'm not so sure he will. And a left winger. Keita will need to raise his game abit but Hleb looks good.

Yeah, things are shaping up better.

BOJAN is the best!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, all the hate on Hleb should go out the window. If you saw Arsenal play last season then you could see why he would be useful for Barca now. Don't know why people were skeptical in the first place. Maybe people need to watch more futbol besides La Liga. Pedro, Jeffren, Yaya, and everyone else lol had a solid match. Positive game for Barca against tougher opposition.

3-1 against potential CL opponents away from home is bloody good, especially as we completely dominated. pique looked really solid, keita was still a bit lost, alves\messi looked dangerous again, hleb did ok, jeffren was good but still seems to have that giovanni selfishness and pedro impressed again. no henry, no etoo just a bunch of midgets up front! maybe we dont need a big no 9, get aguero instead!!! :)
any one know what laporta was doing at the end of the macth?

Jnice said...

Maybe Laporta was trying to kidnap Messi lol.

Very good result,so we showed a real strength!!!

I read somewhere that Pep tried out 4-4-2 in this game. Is that true?

Our back-lines was solid, pretty good off-side trap. This game not only messi messed fior's back-line up, but also jeffren and Bojan did quite well. Now we czn let messi go to Beijing and don't worry about thr 3rd round qualify oe UCL too much because this is not a one-man show squad that can't win without Lionel Messi anymore, everyone does teamwork and in a good physical condition and mentality.

YEP ITS TRUE PEP TRIED A 4-4-2 this time around and it worked wonders. nice to see a change from the norm.

Valdés; Alves (Víctor Sánchez 76), Piqué, Puyol (Cáceres 46), Abidal (Sylvinho 46); Xavi (Busquets 46), Keita (Gudjohnsen 61), Touré (Víctor Vázquez 61), Iniesta (Jeffren 39 (Marc Crosas 76)); Pedrito (Bojan 46), Messi (Hleb 67).

The midfield of Keita, Yaya and Xavi allowed Xavi his offensive rein, and he took advantage. Keita and Yaya allowed very little to develop, and every time Fiorentina tried to play the ball out from the back, one of them was there to close it down. Even Abidal looked very good, and Pedrito continues to be a revelation.

Messi was pretty spectacular, Alves is the goods, and the anti-Hleb forces will eat their words yet.

All in all, a very impressive display.

I watched the live match via BarcaTV, which is pretty cheap, great quality and an English feed for those of us not fluent in Spanish or Catalan.

please can someone tell me when he played the 442, how was the position:
1 df
2 smf
1 omf etc..

wich players played in wich positions etc...

Thank you

----------Valdes---------------------
Abidal---Puyol---Pique--------Alves--
Iniesta-----Keita-----Yaya----Xavi---
--------Pedrito----------Messi-------

Now Messi and Pedrito were switching all over the place, so Pedrito wound up bombing in from the right a lot, where Messi came from more of a central striker position.

the new away kits are looking better already
