Pique not included in Mallorca list

Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola has earlier today announced a list of 22 players for the seventeenth league game of the season against Mallorca this evening at 8 pm.

The list
Valdés, Pinto, Jorquera,
Alves, Márquez, Puyol, Cáceres, Abidal, Sylvinho,
Xavi, Víctor Sánchez, Touré, Busquets, Keita, Gudjohnsen,
Messi, Pedro, Eto'o, Bojan, Henry, Hleb, Iniesta

Gerard Piqué didn't recover from the flu that kept him away from training since Thursday. The central defender was again examined by Barcelona's medical staff this morning. He still has fever and was sent home.

Piqué is the only player, together with Gabriel Milito, who is not included in the match list. Four players (one goalkeeper and three field players) will therefore still have to drop from the list in the coming hours.

After this morning's training session, the players have a lunch together. Afterwards, they have the afternoon off and are expected back at the Camp Nou at 6:30 pm, one and a half hour before thart of the game.

Sad for Piqué, would have started almost for sure (with Alves probably benched and Puyol moving to the right).

Let's see what Guardiola comes up with...

I agree Pique is a flop, but atleast hes better than Puyol.

He would be considered a flop if he was 26 years old. He's doing an amazing job as a 21 year old though.

How is pique a flop? And how can somebody say puyol is worse than him? Sounds like we have some madrid fans on the board. 10 goals for the whole season and pique and puyol are flops? Come on man put down whatever you are smoking or drinking cause its clearly affecting you.
