Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona central defender and Uruguay international Martín Cáceres (21) with a loan move to Betis Sevilla in January (read more here), Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain has said to journalists that an exit is not really an option at this moment:
"Betis didn't ask for him and the player hasn't asked to leave on loan. We don't have any plans to loan out Martín Cáceres. It's not scheduled. We're not willing to put a player on the market in January just because he's playing less than expected.
We actually don't plan any transfers during the winter transfer window. We're satisfied with the squad that we've built and that is performing great."

And Pep, when will Gai get his Spansih passport, do you know anything?
Didn't hear anything lately. You'll have as soon as I know more.
they should let him go, they waisting his talent
that's nonsense, anonymous, he can still become a big part of this team. And if we'd let him go on loan now, we wouldn't have sufficient depth in defence anymore.
ok Pep, Thanks
