Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona has reached an agreement with Manchester United central defender Gerard Piqué (21). The Barcelona youth product, who can also play as right back defender and defensive midfielder, would return to the club he left in the summer of 2004 and sign a four-year contract.
Manchester United does not plan to hold on to Piqué, whose contract expires in 2009 and has not been renewed (read more here), and would receive a transfer fee of around 5 million euro°. The transfer will not be made official before the Champions League final next Wednesday.

wonderfull news! I hope it is true. I would like to see more catalans i barca. Mes Que Un Club!!!
Would probably be a good thing. And a good price.
this all sounds too good to be true... every move I hear us making just makes too much sense.
Please don't tell me that Laporta has finally come to his senses?! If this is to be true, consider it Barca's first sensible move this Spring! Now if only we could convince Laporta and the Board to NOT give in to the temptation of adding more central strikers, and instead focus on a "legit" left winger we might be onto something here!...Of course that would be too obvious and make too much sense so don't expect it to happen.
GREAT NEWS!!!
