Gudjohnsen wants to stay

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona attacker and Iceland international Eidur Gudjohnsen (29) wishes to continue in Barcelona.


The player, who is convinced that he can contribute something to the team, therefore does not plan to talk with any clubs until Barcelona officially informs him that the club prefers him to leave in the summer. The paper says that Gudjohnsen, whose contract expires in 2010, has received an offer from a French club.

This guy is as annoying as that piece of broccoli wedged between the side of your teeth that you can't pull out! Didn't he say the same damn thing before the season this year? Ok, so maybe he wasn't given a sporting chance to show what he can offer. But a player like him, (too slow and "bulky") doesn't fit Barcelona's "style" at all! Why on earth they ever decided to pursue a player like him I will never understand?
