Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona assistant coach Eusebio Sácristan (44), who will leave the club together with manager Frank Rijkaard (read more here), has received an offer to become the new head coach of Primera División team Almería.
Former Barcelona player (1988-1995) and former Spanish international Eusebio has been Rijkaard's second assistant over the last five years. Eusebio said yesterday at a press conference that he feels ready for a new challenge and thanked Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain for the opporunity he had given him five years ago: "It has been a privilege working with the whole technical team, especially since they gave me a real chance although I was starting from scratch."
