Agent Ibrahimovic hints again at Barcelona move

Asked about his latest statements hinting at a move of Inter Milan forward and Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovich (26) to Spain (read more here), the player's agent Mino Raiola has said in an interview with Catalan radio station RAC 1 that the striker likes Barcelona but that a transfer is highly unlikely:

"It's not that Barça wants to sign the player or that they have officially asked for him. No, it's just that if Zlatan leaves Inter, that will be to join a club like Barcelona, Madrid, Manchester United or Chelsea. At this moment, he's fine at Inter, but he was also fine at Juventus. Every summer we analyze his situation. And then it's up to him to make a decision on his future.

He likes Barça, it's a spectacular club, with a spectacular team, a spectacular way of playing. For him, they have it all. Just imagine Ibrahimovic teaming up with Messi and other great players, that would be amazing. It's nevertheless difficult, probably as difficult as seeing Messi going the other way. Nothing is impossible, but it's very difficult."

I think he'll leave Inter this summer. He´s won all there is to win in Italy and now he´s dead set on winning the CL. I'd say that ManUre or Barca are his only real options (and perhaps Chelsea). Real haven't been a serious contender for the CL title for the last five years, so... The question is "only" financial. Right now he's making more than Messi and I don't think he'd accept a pay cut in order to play for Barca...A swap deal with Eto'o+cash would be nice though (but higly unlikely). Ibra is phsysically stronger, has superior technical skills and is just as "colourful" as our dear Cameroonian...the question is, do we really need a galactico?

why are they putting this dude in our face? if he wants to come, theres a price to pay. drop ur over-sized ego and your pay would defo be cut. u cant earn as much as Messi, let alone more than him.. and we have a bench too, if it needs warming, dont ever say no. lolllll

Really? I thought he will prefer a team like Almeria, Bolton, Atalanta or Nancy...

The player's agent Mino Raiola has said in an interview with Catalan radio station RAC 1 that the striker likes Barcelona but that a transfer is highly unlikely

But I am sure another catalan news will ask him tomorrow: "If Ibra leaves inter, will he think of going to barcelona?"

Obviously The agent will answer: "if he decide to leave Inter, then definitely he will consider going to Barcelona"
And the title of the interview will be:

"Ibra will sign for Barcelona"

please no

I prefer Eto'o, Villa, Torres and even Benzema! MAYBE EVEN AGUERO!

he is injury prone, already past his peak, has bad personality, wont accept a bench role ever. no just no,if we need a striker there are better players out there

No No No. Don't sign Ibra don't even consider it. Right now there's harmony in the squad and we don't need a Big Swede with an even bigger Ego. I absolutley agree - he can't have wages as high as Messi or higher. Messi is a humble player with extraordinary skills yet he never declares to be the best - even though he is unlike Ibra. Ibrahimovic for all his skills is simply overrated. Ballon D'or - Ibra? Never. NEVER. Barca should sign Silva - loan him back to Valencia for a year (cause Henry is getting his groove back) and buy Phillip Lahm. Barcelona shouldn't look for a striker - let Bojan be understudy to Eto'o for another 1 or 2 years - he'll get there. And while we're at it - don't sign Benzema, he loves Madrid so let them have him. If you love Madrid you can't play for Barca - period.

Welcome Ibra!

Here is your swedish-catalan dictionary. :)

But seriously, why would he stay in Italy? His goal for the past 2 seasons has only been a CL victory. Its not like Inter is the place to win it. Quite clear now. He will leave this summer. If he truly wants the title he hast to accept a paycut however.

He may or may not choose to stay in Italy. Why would we choose to buy him? His agent sounds about as pompous as the man himself. He claims that of Real and Barca will be interested in signing Ibra if he were to put himself on the market.

Its like as though he is taking pity on us, the poor Barca fans, telling us there might be a chance for salvation yet: Zlatan just might be putting himself on the market, Hold your breath !

i think wat we shld do next season is sell: eto'o(this is best time to cash in on him), gudj, jorquera,abidal...
buy: villa or benzema, silva or ribery(whichever is cheaper)and lahm or evra
n then we shld play a 4-4-2 with henry and villa/benzema being the two strikers.....

n yeah....even sergio asenjo...we shld try to get him too....

are any of you thinking what zlatan can bring to barca.. tall, great shot, technically better than eto'o and in barca he doesn't have to run as much cause of the support from the flanks. look at it this way zlatan runs all the way back to the defense and picks up the ball and play his way back up and score but it is hard to to do that in italy, you have to stop looking at the zlatan in italy playing in a inter milan side that has no attacking threat other than zlatan he is basically alone.

what zlatan can bring to barca: 1- ariel threat for when alves puts in those deadly crosses. 2- better finishing, u can bet zlatan will put way most chances eto'o gets(hence why the agent said zlatan could score 40 goals in Spain cause eto'o should be at that right now but he misses alot) 3- strength upfront, knowing other team defenses and the way they play barca these days of using physical presence, zlatan's strength would be a huge help upfront. so what i'm saying is maybe zlatan in poor in inter but if u look at what he has to do with such a defensive side imagine how well he would perform with a attacking side like barca and pep wanted eto'o gone at the beginning of this season not cause he hated him it is because he wanted a tall striker with both technical ability and strong physical presence.

too me zlatan is not a bad buy, certainly i rate him over benzema and villa but if we had a choice to get Fernando Torres i would go for him cause he is my favorite striker front line of silva zlatan messi sounds too deadly to handle(didn't say ribery because he is becoming more and more likey to stay at bayern.

oh and Anon u are letting personal feelings get the better of u, do u think real cared when they took figo from us, did real care if VDV was a huge barca fan, do u think real cared when they took saviola. NO they didn't so what if benzema likes real if we sign him it would be a huge slap in the face for real madrid.

why u talking like u know zlatan, he already has wages higher than messi in inter and barca are richer than inter so if he gets the same wages as messi then that will be fine. zlatan's ego is no bigger than eto'o, when eto'o really wants to score he sometimes forget that he has teammates and take shots when there is a clear pass on goal. zlatan ain't overrated he just as good as the media and coaches say he is. The only bad thing i have to say about zlatan and it is a worrying one is long term injuries and when he does return it takes quite a while to regain his best.

No, no, no, no, no, no! Don't want him, don't need him.

He was the worst player yesterday for Inter. He ignored better positioned players and tried to go for goal (at least I think so since his effort ended up nowhere near goal) on the odd occasion when he seemed to be making an effort. The rest of the time he looked like he didn't want to be on the pitch.

We wont be buying a player only an ego. It maybe large enough but I doubt if it has enough substance to chest down balls and score goals. We dont need to pay players the highest salary in the world to not put away easy chances as Zlatan does. Eto'o does not get paid as much as Messi and never will.

i like zlatan alot and he would be great for barca and has way more technique than eto'o. but the main outline for the #9 is to score, and nobody has a better scoring rate than eto'o. is it barca or eto'o that allows him to score so often? who knows who cares, why try to fix something that isnt broken

AMJ said...

No thanks.

He's not a player who steps ut for the team when its really needed and only does some fine looking goals against low italian teams sometimes.

The situation yesterday against man.u where he rushed toward the goal at the right side and missed a golden chance, that opportunity would a guy like Villa miss for example.

He's a too overrated player.

Now now kids lets not be tooooo critical of the 'mercenary' who left Juve for 'sporting reasons' rather than the 'doubling' of his salary lol

A lot haters expressing their feeling about Ibra here... But I guess that is what people do with geniuses, hate them or love them. Ibra is clearly the best player in Italy, even better the Kaka yes, so that means he in the top three among players today, with C.R and Messi included. Eventhough he didn't score against Man U he was, as he usually is, Inter's only attacking option for most of the match, so what are you talking about Kamikazi?

I think Ibra would be the ideal replacement for Henry, but people have to realize that he's not a sugarsweet gentleman like Henry he's more like Tony Montana in Scarface, which btw is Ibra's favorite movie. I think that says it all about him, he wants to dominate on the field (his own words) and become the best. It's like when Montana comes to the US he sees the country and Miami as "a big p*ssy waiting to get f*cked" by him. Ibra wants to be the best and he's not afraid of showing it. So what does that result in? Haters being envious.
