Five games in two weeks

Barcelona has busy weeks ahead. Like the past weeks, the next two weeks will have a mid-week game.

With four Liga games coming up, the team has the chance to turn the situation quickly around after a disappointing start of the season.

The schedule looks like this:

sunday 21 september, 9 pm: Sporting Gijón-Barcelona

wednesday 24 september, 8 pm: Barcelona-Betis

saturday 27 september, 10 pm: Espanyol-Barcelona

wednesday 1 october, 8.45 pm: Shakhtar Donetsk-Barcelona

sunday 5 october, (hour to be determined): Barcelona-Atlético Madrid

very busy schedule indeed. but i think my barca will be put to the REAL test for the first time since last season against city rivals espanyol which lead la liga so far and of course atletico madrid... MESSI VS. AGUERO!!!! cant wait till october 5th such an exciting fixture to look forward to. I hope he plays henry in the middle as i thought against sporting he was the best player along with of course messi because he was in the middle! not on the left wing! I also think eto'o does a better job cutting from the left wing into the middle like messi does from the right (of course not as good) than henry does!! so if pep plays 4-3-3 like he always does than i'd prefer to see this line up
pinto (valdes is injured iwth a soar throat)
alves -pique-Marquez/caceres -puyol
xavi - yaya - iniesta
messi - henry - eto'o

even tho i'd loveee PEP to try a god dayam new line up. ... my opinion barca would smashhhhhhhhh on any opponent with the 4-2-3-1 line up: Valdes
alves - pique - caceras - puyol
yaya - xavi
Messi - Henry - Iniesta
Eto'o
such an orgasmicccc line up!!! and henry and eto'o will be allowed the middle !!!! sorry for long ass comment im out!

This will be a real test in fitness and physical strength for our team.

Very important 2 weeks ahead of us now. We should really win all of these games though. The only game I see being a real test is the Athletico game. They look very good right now in attack. We will have to be on form both defensively and offensively.

If we can win all of these games it will be a great confidence boost and will set us up nicely for a great season. To be honest though I still think it is too early in this teams development for us to expect wins in all of these games. I would be happy with no losses at this stage.

I think every game in the liga is a test for barcelona (like we saw against Numancia and Racing) and they should be aware of that and be prepared for having to break down a wall every single time.

I think we at most will get a draw against Sporting. Sure they played fairly offensive football against Sevilla but it will be as it always is when we meet a team isn't reaching for a top-6 position. 10 men in the box and 1 man to counter-attack and in some screwed up way that last man will score.

Times such as these are when a side's depth comes into play. With the off-season additions (too bad Hleb isn't available to get Xavi some rest) and the youngsters that have been groomed, we should be able to weather this busy patch in fine style.

Early goals will be critical in opening up a side's willingness to park the bus in front of the goal.
