Busquets is marked in green becuase he's 'officially' still a Barcelona Atlètic player.

horrible starting lineup
horrible game

whats up with the pedrito mancrush? he hasn't done anything, yet gets 2 starts...

Busquets was impressive IMO...and as always Iniesta and Xavi can't play together in Barcelona while they play awesome for Spain...

in general we lack a midfielder that is a constant danger and can get into the box and is looking for the one on one duels...

overall very disappointing.

lets give it the benefit of doubt. international matches always screw up barca. we had an incomplete squad and they were tired. lets see what they can do against lisbon. there will be no excuses then...

What do you mean! You guys can't complain Barca for this match! They did not play bad at all! It's once again the luck of finishing! You guys can't blame them just cos they drew.

What I have seen was talanted midfielders passing the ball with no sense, taking no shots and making nothing other than fruitless posession, a striker whom we only knew he is on field when the team was warming up, then vanished, a deffence leader who always make a big mess and no one even mention it because he is the captain - and I like him- but I just prefer to be fair, rather than joining the majority who find the less popular player in the team and start to act like "hell look how i can punch him" knowing no one will punch back.

People forgot about all that, and moved to critisize the player who played his role on the field, as for the comment " I saw one instance where the better option would have been to switch flanks wit a long cross but he opted to pass instead and it was a nonsensical one." it show the attitude i am talking about, because i guess there was another instant when Xavi had to shoot the ball but instead he again played another safe pass rather than taking the risk of an attempt (Xavi is my all time favorite player so nothing personal) and there was another many instances when messi had to pass the ball but instead choosed to dribble all the players and then started dribbling the audience before going out dribling people in the streets, what about iniesta instances? eto?even though eto was not in the game at alkl so i doubt he generated any instances.

He is not offering his best, as with lyon, no doubt, but to critisize this guy for this game? its a stereotype now, more than an openion.

he is not an offensive backward, and no its not enough to have payol-the slow- and pique+another unexperienced DM to gaurd u from behind, its just easy to creat theories, but football is something else.

Last year Valdes was good, yes he was though lot of you will raise their eye brows now, because after a very bad two seasons, its not allowed to praise this guy anymore no matter what he offer, but as a person who know how it was before valdes (probably lot of u here were still watching cartoon by then), i have seen the after Zobi period till the Rustu era, I am not welling to gamble whom i dont know for whom i know, there are no good keepers for sale in the market now, i always hoped they sign a young one to compete with valdes on the long run but not to substitute him. Another fact in life, all keepers do mistakes, and till now valdes havent done any in the two games played, regardless of what some coral steriotype gangs say.

Its a friggin disaster that Pep doesn't play Sylvinho. This is really upsetting me. He hasnt gotten a minute since the pre-season. And Sylvinho is that kind of player you can throw in that can actually make a difference. Abidals attacking skill are REALLY bad. But Sylvinho has got a great foot for corners, crosses, passes. Geez. I've got a feeling we're gonna resent letting Abidal be the starting leftback for the season.

yes the result was dissappointing but mainly because of unbelievable luck for racing (and a solid defensive performance) and shocking ref decisions. i watch the EPL each week and i think that quality-wise both legues are the same, maybe la liga edges it as is more attack orientated, but there is an absolute gulf between the standards of referring. la liga need to retrain there refs or get decent ones. the old madrid bias should be wiped out from the refs and the football association.

saying that the most important thing is to give pep TIME. as has been said before remember rijkard? he had coaching experience and still struggled but given time look what he did. pep is learning on the job and what i've seen he is doing a good job, we need that first win just to get some confidence in the team and then in january try to find a striker who would offer an alternative that would allow us to compete against teams that forget that they are suppossed to attack aswell.

Guys let just hope that Guardiola will learn from his mistakes
From what I have seen Busquets is a real deal, the guy is strong, controlls ball well and cal almost play anywhere
Also I think that Jeffren deserves a chance just like Pedro got it

Més que un club!!!

It was me, Ramzi, just didn't want to let it pass by in the other topic, since most people will read this one now.

...it was no fault of defence...barca made the same mistakes they doin now for some time...high ball-posession - no goals...what we needed would be a good striker and a midfielder who also able to score when the strikers don't do...say it again...with keita or hleb we bought players we had even more than enough like xavi or iniesta...cesc,silva,lampard,...players who also have a good shot and score are needed...everybody of you here praised our youngsters because of good matches vs. underrated teams in pre-season...but now,in the reality of la liga we have the problem i saw early at the beginning...no spaces for changes, too rare tools...we missed to buy a real "9" and a high-rated left-winger and also send henry and baddy away...hope for the best, but now i think we have a big problem...to ramzi...see my friend...don't forget football-understanding because of euphoric...anony "the truth" (hurts...ONE LOVE...BARCA FOREVER,EVER,EVER!!!!!

Well pep, I appreciate it, and Anony i honestly didn't understand your hint about me.

Ramzi, I also agree that Puyol really makes mistakes and they always get overlooked because he's the captain and well-liked. I also agree with the Valdes comment, he may not be the best in the world but I don't know of many other options and he for sure isn't the worst in the world.

Poor perfmance!! All play no result.@least all the Henry haters cant blame him for this loss!

Anonymous said...

Oh yes, we can: because of having Henry on teh pay roll, we couldn't afford us a decent striker... ;-)
